It was a weekend of firsts: First Friday, first Murphy Craft Bazaar, first bake sale, first vegan baking experience, first horror movie in 3-D. I baked 52 cupcakes for the event; 3 flavors and half of the total vegan. I made Mexican Hot Chocolate cupcake's for the non-vegan variety and used the book "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World" for a chai and a golden vanilla recipe. It was a success. Only 2 cupcake's were left at the end of the sale. I had only borrowed the vegan cupcake book, but I plan to buy a copy (especially needed now that this might be a re-occurring event). Next time the Basilicafe opens though, I'm planning to change up the flavors: vegan chai, vegan tiramisu, and red velvet. Yum.
